Local Helpdesk

We feel that customer service is as important to our customers as our ability to service their technology needs, and in striving to maintain a high customer service experience we staff local support personnel for all of our direct remote and on-site service calls. Once you have established a relationship with eSmith you will come to know the technology professionals working with you. You can even call them directly or ask for them by name when needed.

Remote Support

eSmith IT utilizes secure, enterprise level remote support tools from Bomgar, which are also used by other institutions such as MIT, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics, Zappos.com, and Novell. These tools allow eSmith IT support staff to remotely access systems running Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, and Linux. Remote sessions are secured utilizing the highest encryption standards and all remote sessions are recorded for auditing purposes. In addition to standard workstation and server support, Bomgar also allows our support staff to remotely assist customers with mobile devices such as Apple iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads, Blackberry devices, Windows Mobile devices, and Android tablets and smartphones.

Customer Representative

Our commitment to providing expertise in information technology extends within our company. As a term customer, you have direct access to your account representative who serves as your single point of contact throughout your service term. Your account representative acts as your advocate within not only eSmith IT, but also with your other technology vendors such as printer/copier suppliers, and ensures that your business requirements are continuously being met.

IT–as–a–Service

In addition to our best-in-class managed services, eSmith offers ITaaS capabilities through our vendor and supplier partnerships. With ITaaS your technology is available for a low monthly fee with management and support included for the life of the agreement. A tool with many uses, the eSmith IT customer portal, which is available online and is powered by Autotask, allows our customers to:
